Content Groups
In MarketPlate CMS, Content Groups are central to organizing and managing your digital content efficiently. A Content Group acts like a dynamic folder, which you can tailor with a unique API name to integrate seamlessly into your application's architecture.
Locate the icon with a folder and plus sign, and click to open a Create Group pop up.

Define the Content Group: Start by naming your Content Group.
Assign a Unique API Name: This is crucial for developers who will be integrating the content into your app. The API name should be unique to prevent conflicts and ensure smooth data retrieval.
Nest group inside of a Parent Content Group (optional). Parent / Child groups are a great way to organaze content groups based on your use case. For example, content on home screen of your app can be nested within Primary content group for easier navigation.

Customize with Fields: Add various input fields to your Content Group depending on the type of content you will serve. For instance, a Content Group for promotional banners might include fields for images, links, and text, whereas a group for video content might include video files, descriptions, and CTA.
To create a group, click Create to finish creating the group.
Defining Content Post Information
When creating a content group, you must enable what type of information each entry will require within a group.

Image / Video
Your content post will require one media type. Choose to enable either image or video. 🗜️Media uploaded will be compressed to reduce file size while maintaining the quality of your upload. It is recommended that you upload smaller file sizes to reduce impact of loading time for users and bandwidth usage of your CMS module on MarketPlate.
Primary Title
The primary title for your content post.
Secondary Title
Add a subheading or short summary for your content post.
Description
Add a description if you need a longer amount of text for your content post. ⚠️ This doesn’t support a rich text editor.
CTA Title
Add a short call to action text.
Link Destination
Link your content post to redirect customers elsewhere. There are two different link destinations you can use: • URL: Add a URL that will open in-app or in an external browser. The destination can be defined by the MarketPlate development team. • App Innerlinking: User will be directed to a different area within the app (ie. inbox, wallet, settings, etc.) The MarketPlate team will add a sitemap for your mobile app during onboarding to define the links and screen names for innerlinking content.
Attributes
Add up to 10 attributes per entry to unlock unlimited potential with your content, by leveraging additional information or other actions. For example, invoke the attribute key when clicking a call to action to add customer to a mailing list for your third-party newsletter software.
QR Entry
Generate a unique QR code or dynamic URL. This means users can scan a unique QR code or dynamic URL that will unlock specific content. Use cases for QR entry will be defined by the MarketPlate development team.
Days of month / week
Content posts can be made to be available only on specific days of the month or week.
Between time window
Add a specific time window, if you need a precise time frame to make a content post available to users. For example, only show content between 10am and 3pm.
GEO Fence
Geo Fence allows you to distribute content to user within specific regions. For example you can set a content group to be displayed for users interacting with your website or app from a specific city or country. The list of regions can be specified during onboarding.
Link Product
Link specific Menu items from the MarketPlate menu for advanced shopping UX.
Parent Group And Nesting Group Settings
When creating a content group, you can nest your group within another group using the dropdown menu.

If you want to make the new group as a parent group, toggle Is Parent Group. This group will now act as a shell, and no content post can be created under this parent group.
